Matters of Life & Death Scholarship Writing Contest – $2,000

Matters Of Life and Death Scholarship Writing Contest is an essay-based scholarship contest that is looking to assist those in need.  Compassion and Choice of Northern California has been there for those that require support and to give counseling to the ones that need it.  They have been supporting patients who are dying as well as family members who have a loved one that is dying or has passed.  They would also like to help students by offering them scholarships of up to $2,000.  They would like to see how well students can share their ideas on helping and coping with death.  This scholarships serves its purpose where it helps open everyone’s eyes and see things for the better.  This is a great scholarship opportunity that will help three students cope with today’s expensive education by saving some money and to focus on their studies.  Students must be residing in California and must be juniors and seniors in high school with plans to enroll in an accredited college/university in the U.S.  Home-schooled students are also welcome to apply.  Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents to qualify.  First-place scholarship winner will get a $2,000 scholarship, while the second-place winner will get a $500 scholarship, and a third-place winner that will get a $250 scholarship.  Students are asked to submit their essay along with their cover letter in order to apply.  Students must submit their work by the May 1st annual deadline.  All college-bound students should jump at this opportunity to get their chance and, at the same time, help raise awareness on the issues of dying.
