Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest – $1,500

The Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest is an rewarding scholarship contest that awards three students a year with scholarship money of up to $1,500.  The Lincoln Forum dedicates the website to the memory of Abraham Lincoln and the remembrance of the Civil War.  They would like to assist students with achieving their college education by offering scholarships to three undergraduate students towards higher education.  The student with the best essay will get a $1,500 scholarship, and the second and third-place winners will get a $750 and a $500 scholarship, consecutively.  This scholarship is designed for full-time undergraduate students attending an American college or university.  Students wishing to apply for the Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest need to submit an essay of 1,500 to 5,000 words along with a works-cited page and their personal and school information.  Best of all, this is an annual scholarship contest and students have a chance to apply each year with the deadline on July 31st of each year.  The greatest thing of all is that winners from the previous year have reapplied and gotten multiple scholarship prizes.  Scholarship money is usually sent to the institution that the student attends, however with this contest, students get a check in their name mailed straight to their door and the student may spend the money in any way they desire.  This scholarship is a great opportunity for students in which it can help alleviate the costs associated with attaining their college education.  Not only does it award great amount of funds but three students will be chosen as winners.
